James Schramko here. Today, I want to share with you a tool that I use and I know some members of my team use to have better communication. Maybe you’re not a great typist, maybe you can’t spell very well, but the good news is there are tools and one is called Grammarly, and it sits in your computer browser.
I use a Chrome extension and it will help correct or make suggestions as I type. And you can use the free version and it’s just fine. As you type, if the word’s not quite right, it will suggest the correct version and you can just click on it and it will replace it.
This is a great tool to use if you’re posting in forums or on social media or sending emails because even if it’s not your first skill, spelling, at least you’ll come across as reasonably professional even though that people who obsess too much about spelling usually are very flawed in some other area but it doesn’t hurt to have a good minimum standard.
I’ve been using Grammarly this year after seeing one of my team members use it, and it really is an easy tool to use, and it will get you great results.
