James Schramko here. Today, I’m going to share with you an idea on how you can actually keep tabs on your progress but it’s not an onerous way. It’s a very simple way, deceptively simple but it’s super powerful. So one thing that I do each week is I have a team meeting. It’s around about 15 minutes where I meet with my team virtually, of course, because they’re not in the same country most of the time.
And we talk about where we’re at as a business, what’s the overarching goal that we have, what are the little components, what’s each person working on, and that way we can coordinate with each other. We all respect and understand what everyone has on their agenda. We know how we can contribute and help but we’re also keeping tabs on our progress.
This is a great time to discuss where we’ve made improvements, where we want to change, it’s a way to transfer culture and concepts. And it means that you start to become a movement or something bigger than just a job, okay? So it’s a collaboration. It’s exciting and interesting but it’s also short and it’s a recurring alert in my schedule so it happens every week.
If I think of something I want to talk about, I just put a diary note in that alert and that way in just 15 minutes per week, I can stay on top of things and everyone knows exactly what’s happening. I recommend it for your business. I’ve got more tips like this in my book, Work Less Make More. It’s available on Amazon and also Audible.
