James Schramko here, and today I’m going to invite you to question some of the things that you were raised to believe by your parents. As entrepreneurs, we have some pretty good ideas about what we need to do. But sometimes, we’re still held into thought patterns that came from the generation above us. It’s only natural.
Our parents raised us and by the time we’re six, we’ve installed a lot of the belief systems that are going to carry us through the rest of our life. But the thing is a lot of stuff has changed since you were a kid. Technology has changed. The way the world works has changed and it’s important to challenge the belief system that you may have inherited from your parents.
And I know this isn’t easy and we sometimes feel that it might even be disrespectful but the situation is if you can change your belief system to your belief system and upgrade from the way things were, you might find that you can let go of some of that guilt for not having to work a long eight, nine, 10-hour day. You will find that you operate a different way with abundance when you separate from a parents’ mentality that was driven from a time of rationing. So, so much has changed.
It’s worth having a look at your operating system and think, could it change too? Is there something that I’m doing because it would please my parents but not necessarily is the right thing for me?
