Your word choices may be limiting your potential.
Ensure that you're not closing any doors of opportunities with this smart tip from James.
James Schramko here. I want to talk about a word phrase that you can change to get a better outcome. So if you find yourself ever saying these words, “The only way to do something,” then change that to “One way to do this.”
And this is because “only” is very limiting. It’s actually implying that there’s only one way and the fact is that no matter what your situation, there’s probably multiple ways that you can get out of that situation. Somewhere in the world, somebody has solved the same problem that you have got right now.
So think about, what did they do to solve it? What is the solution? What is one way to try? What is another way? Brainstorm. Come up with multiple ways. So if you’re using the word “only”, unless you’re coming up with a USP for your business, it could be limiting your potential.
