James Schramko here. Today, I want to talk about how you might have a little bit more fun while you stay fit, and it’s just combining something.
So I have a friend who was feeling a little bit down, a little bit stressed. And he got himself a new Fitbit. And when he got the Fitbit, he started doing more walks, and it became a little bit of a game, and he wanted to see if he could walk a bit longer. And he’s created a sustainable activity for himself.
And I could relate to this, because I’ve got this Rip Curl watch, and it actually tracks my surf. And I know sometimes I’m going for a slightly longer ride or catch a few extra waves, I’m interested in how far I’ve paddled on my wave. It’s actually become fun. So I’m really enjoying it, the benchmarking and pushing my own limits. And knowing that it’s tracked makes me exert a little more effort, but it’s definitely improved my fitness and absolutely my surfing has gotten better. So if you can combine fun with some technology and gamify your exercises, you’re going to have a great life.
