James Schramko here, and my tip today is something that I recommend online businesses take particular attention with, and that is to go personal. One concern I have with all these messenger bots and automations is that we can start to feel processed. And people don’t like being processed. So the way to combat that is to take time to do something personal.
I’m using Bonjoro videos to send out personal messages to members of my community. I still send out mail with things in it, in the actual post, with a stamp, and that’s very effective. And also, sometimes I reach out and I actually get on telephone to someone. But also we run local meetups in SuperFastBusiness, so I’m catching up with members usually once a month.
And I certainly travel around and I meet members when I’m visiting them. And then every year I run a live event like SuperFastBusiness Live. The next one is in April 2019. And I run masterminds. And when I get face-to-face with my clients, I find out so much about their needs, I’m able to solve them, document notes, use that information into my products and my training, and also keep retention, which is very important if you have a subscription business.
