James Schramko here. Today, I want to talk about how much content you can actually produce and is there too much content?
Sometimes, when I’m introducing the idea of podcast or videos to marketers, they say but wouldn’t that be too many? For example, we are publishing two short videos everyday. We’ve been doing this since the beginning of 2019. And we started doing one video a day from about April 2018.
But the thing is this, most of your prospects will have not seen every piece of content that you’ve ever published. They might see some of your content, a small sample. If I publish two or three hundred videos, there’s a chance someone might see 10 or 20 or 30, but not all 200. And this kind of addresses the other concern is, what if you have the same topic that you’ve done before? Because it’s actually really hard to keep track of it.
I actually keep them in a spreadsheet and I still occasionally duplicate a concept. Well, the thing is, sometimes repetition is good. There are people out there who have made multi-million dollar empires from just repeating the same one thing in every possible format absolutely over and over and over again.
So, get out there, create your content and send out those emails. And you’ll see that having this content out there will help you reach a greater audience.
