James Schramko here. Today, I want to share with you a framework they use in the medical profession to help people make great decisions, and I think this framework is probably useful for you with your business.
So the framework is called BRAIN.
And it’s an acronym, and it stands for B – what are the Benefits of taking this course of action?
And R stands for – what are the Risks? What are the potential downsides if you take this course of action?
A is what Alternatives are there? What else could you do instead?
I is Instinct. That is – does it make sense? Does it feel right?
N is Nothing. What if you do nothing? If you do nothing then when will you do something is a nice sort of extension of that.
So that’s the BRAIN framework.
All right. And if you use the BRAIN framework, it might help you make better decisions in your business before you take the next step, and this is especially good for non-critical or non-emergencies. And I like that planning framework.
