James here, and I’ve just been out getting some supplies for the little barbecue that I’m holding tonight. I’m very excited about this. I’m having my three boys and my parents over. It’s going to be great.
But while I was out buying things, this service assistant was phenomenally excellent, like really good. He made my experience fantastic, and it reminded me of what I knew from Mercedes-Benz when I was working there. Just making that little bit extra different service experience meant that I would get all the referrals.
I want to go back to this shop just to experience that amazing service again. It sounds cliche and we hear it a lot, but really, it takes no extra effort to be amazing in your job instead of just phoning it in and turning up. So, if you are in a retail environment or you’re dealing with customers directly, go that little bit extra to make it a special experience for them even if it’s not for you.
