Sometimes clients tend to treat you a bit like an employee. And it can kind of grate a little bit. One of my customers asked me how to deal with this on a recent SuperFastBusiness Q&A call. I want to share my answer with you now.
People used to treat me poorly sometimes when they were buying a Mercedes-Benz, and they’re like, Hey, I’m spending $400,000. And I would be like, yes, and you get a $400,000 Mercedes-Benz, right? No part of that is the part where you get to talk to me the way you’re talking to me right now. So let’s get that clear.
These people are getting a return on investment or they wouldn’t be buying from you. So focus them back on what’s important. I think you could probably increase your rates. And I think you could probably decrease your level of what you think you need to provide these customers for them to be happy, because you might be overcooking it, and using all that revenue back on wages.
