James Schramko here, and there’s one metric that we sometimes don’t pay attention to when we’re building our own business. Sure, we can look at our traffic stats and our social media likes and we can see what our sales are and all of our costs, and we can get a gauge on our team and have a look at where we sit with our product. But one thing we’re not often looking at is our personal asset value.
Now, what do I mean by that? I mean, how much of an authority are you? How much clout do you have in the marketplace? If you were to send an email or pick up the phone and speak to someone, will they take your call or respond to you? Are you the kind of person who can get things done just by reputation?
Now, the sorts of things that will increase this are: publishing a book, publishing a podcast, having a video show, speaking on platforms and being introduced by the most powerful people in your peer group to other powerful people attending live masterminds. These are things that increase your authority, and this raises the stock value of you as a person, which will power up any business you have.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this tip. I’m James Schramko, I’ll speak to you soon.
